Academic Programmes

Italian universities issue the following qualifications in compliance with Ministerial Decree No. 270/2004:

• Laurea (L) a First Cycle Degree equal to a bachelor's degree on completion of an initial three-year study programme (180 credits)
• Laurea Magistrale (LM) a Second Cycle Degree equivalent to a master's degree on completion of a further two-year study programme (120 credits)
• Laurea Magistrale a ciclo unico (LM c.u.) a Single Cycle Degree, combining bachelor and master programmes, offered only in some Schools, on completion of a five- or six-year study programme (300 or 360 credits)

 

 

First Cycle Degrees (L)

The First Cycle Degree (Laurea - L) programs active in academic year  2015-2016 under the management of the Department of Information Engineering are shown in the following table, where the curricula names are associated to the corresponding degree code.

Note that name of the currucula is determined by the single universities, while a Ministerial decree assigns the corresponding Code (Classe di Laurea)  to identify equivalent curricula from the different universities and give them the same legal value. (art. 4, Decreto Ministeriale 270/2004).

Second Cycle Degrees (LM)

Once a student has obtained a First Cycle Degree (Bachelor's) he can access the  Second Cycle Degree curricula (Laurea Magistrale - LM). The second Cycle Degree (Master's) curricula offered during academic year 2015-2016, under the management of the Department of Information Engineering are shown in the following table..


The list of courses shows the name and also the Degree Code as well as enrolment info. The name of the course is determined by the single universities, while a Ministerial decree assigns the corresponding Code  (Classe di Laurea) to identify equivalent curricula from the different universities and give them the same legal value. (art. 4, Decreto Ministeriale 270/2004).
