Tan Qin  was born in Hubei Province (China) in 1992. He received his bachelor’s degree in Exploration Technology and Engineering from Yangtze University, China, in June 2015. From September 2015 he is a master degree candidate of Geophysics at the school of ocean and earth science in Tongji University, China. As a visiting student of the University of Florence, he is engaged in advanced study of Holographic and Impulse Subsurface Radar for Landmine and IED Detection in the Ultrasound and Non Destructive Testing Laboratory of Department of Information Engineering from November 2017 to April 2018. His research interests concern the multiples suppression of GPR in water area and the comprehensive detecting method of GPR and Rayleigh Wave.
